This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The bottom has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
I'm working towards a pastel painting called The Orchid Odalisque. The model is a friend who hunts orchids, so the final piece will include orchids native to the Virginia counties she was born in and now lives in. Since I haven't done any substantial pastel work in many years, I'm practically having to start from near scratch, testing various techniques, re-honing some drawing skills, trying pastel figurative work for the first time, etc. I'm going to have to invent some elements to include the orchids as textiles and possibly a carved wood and/or other prop elements, which will also be new for me; I'm used to working from life or photo, not from my imagination. Today I want to start a detailed head study to further myself down this path.

Born during the summer of love, 1967, in Frankfurt, Germany, I was adopted at the age of 20 months and brought to the US when I was about 3. I loved art making and art exploring as a child.
After graduating with a B.A. in Art in 1989, I then set art aside for most of the next 25 years. It's been a challenging path, fraught with jealous and insecure egos that encouraged me to hide my light.
I am now embarking on my journey back.
In all that time I took a smattering of non-credit art classes, did a few pastel paintings and two art-grant installation pieces for Burning Man events, and mostly continued to slack on my art making habits. Instead, I was a professional web and graphic designer from 1995-2006, and a certified massage therapist since (great for my understanding of anatomy!).
I am now working on rediscovering and honing my skills in pastels and clay sculpture. (I also want to do printmaking, metalworking and more.) My interest in is anatomical work. I'm also looking for a mentor, especially in sculpture.
Enjoy looking around and please let me know your feedback. Mwah!
